Jacques Leuba MA Oxon & TEP – Director
Jacques has been a private banker for over 30 years, having recently retired from Banque Heritage SA, after a successful career including many years at Switzerland's largest banking groups - Credit Suisse Group (Clariden Leu), UBS, and before that in London and the Channel Islands.
Jacques specialises in wealth structuring and manager selection for international families and their advisers, including provision of Swiss banking and trustee relationships and advice on structures for entrepreneurs, financial planners and all wealth intermediaries, both in Switzerland and other financial centres.
Educated in the UK, with a degree in Politics and Economics (Oxon 1973), Jacques trained as a commercial banker in the 70's in Switzerland and South America and then held senior banking positions with two Swiss banks in the UK. He then spent 3 years on secondment to the British Foreign Office as a financial regulator in the Caribbean, acquiring considerable experience in the regulatory supervision of offshore banks, trust companies and insurance companies. He subsequently spent 5 years in Jersey where he set up the private banking and trust operations of a large Luxembourg bank.
Jacques is a member STEP, the International Tax Planning Association and an associate member of the International Bar Association.
Jacques is based in our Geneva office and is responsible for our European clients and acts as MLRO and compliance officer in Switzerland for the Group.
